The XC Gear/ Enduro Engineering/ Husqvarna Race team honored our military with Former Sgt. Matthew Barrett as a special guest rider for the Cajun Classic National Enduro. Matthew proudly served our country in Afghanistan, and we were more than happy to select him for our factory rider of the day. Matthew competed in the B 30+ class on the Husqvarna TX300, and was able to finish 11th place. It was awesome to work with Matthew all weekend as he had a high appreciation for the opportunity, but in the end the pleasure was all our’s. Our goal was to thank him for his service by having him enjoy the days ride, and we are happy that is exactly what happened.
Cory Buttrick took the other open seat on the XC Gear/ Enduro Engineering/ Husqvarna Race team with both Logan Lowrey and Jake Froman out with Injuries. Cory was a last minute fill in, not riding the bike until Friday, but he felt at home on the TX300 right away.
Cory was able to put in some consistant test times during the day and put himself 7th in the NE Pro1 class and 10th overall.
