With the retirement of the Stud Boy national snocross team, there was a lot of speculation as to where that would leave Trent Wittwer. It was recently announced that the second year Pro rider would remain on an Arctic Cat along with his father Jeff and a growing program that will have the duo working with some familiar faces. Here is the release from the R12 Designs/D&D Racing team who will be shifting their focus to the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour in 2021.
In light of the uncertainty that has followed our sport since the end of the 2020 snocross season, this offseason has proven to be a rather trying time for the industry and some of the most familiar names in it. Despite all that is going on in the world, we know that as a community we all have one thing in common and that is the uncontrollable urge to get back to the races. With this in mind, it is with extreme gratitude that we announce our 2021 effort: R12 Designs/D&D Racing Arctic Cat. This team will consist of three riders competing at both the ISOC National level and in the ESXT Tour.
Trent Wittwer #115 (Bemidji, MN) : Trent (21) is the 2018 Sport National Champion and was a multi-time race winner in the Pro-lite class in 2019, racing in both of those seasons for Stud Boy Arctic Cat and he is now looking to work back to his winning ways in the ISOC Pro class this season. His father and mechanic, Jeff Wittwer, will support him in this effort.
Dylan Roes #112 (Lowville, NY): Dylan (24) is the 2018 ECS Pro-lite Champion racing for his R12 Designs/D&D Racing team. He looks to this year as an opportunity to showcase his talent at the national level and will be competing in the full ISOC Pro-lite Championship. His father and mechanic, Dale Roes , will support him in this effort.
Jake Lux #307 (Westernville, NY): Jake (27) has raced in the ESXT tour previously at the Pro-lite level and will race this year as the team’s sole rider in the East, competing for the Pro-lite Championship. His mechanic, Jason Owens , will round out the team’s effort in this series.
Dale Roes and Jeff Wittwer have worked hard to respect the decisions of their peers in the industry and honor their sponsors, both former and current, throughout this process. Both men have been instrumental in the construction of this team, along with the continued support of Mike Kloety and the Arctic Cat Race Department. The cooperative effort of these individuals along with the talent of their riders forms a formidable and imposing roster with high hopes and high standards. Dale co-founded D&D in Lowville, NY in 1984 and he brings his expertise and the support of their race program to the team. Dylan is the founder and owner of R12 Designs, an offroad graphic design company which will work not only to ensure that the sleds stand out on the track and in the pits, but also back the team as a title sponsor through this season. Thank you to all of our individual sponsors and everyone who has helped us along the way, and we look forward to seeing you at the races.
