Forest Hill, LA (April 28, 2019) – GasGas North America Off-road’s Thorn Devlin score an impressive fifth overall finish at the Cajun National Enduro in Forest Hill, Louisiana.
After testing in Arkansas the previous week, Thorn elected to ride the 2019 XC 300 in national enduro competition and the Pennsylvania rider was totally pleased with the power and feel of the bike in Louisiana. In fact, Thorn started off with guns blazing with a solid fourth place finish in the first test of the day!
Thorn Devlin: Today went really well. We did a bunch of testing this week on the 300 and we came into the day with just intentions of riding the motorcycle. Every time you come in you check your tests and everything. We didn’t check any tests. I actually left my phone here and Aaron turned his off and we just rode. Didn’t talk about tests. Didn’t talk about winning. I had fun. I had a blast. I felt so good. Now I know things I need to continue to work on. I’m more than happy with it.
THE XC 300 is unreal. I’m so happy to be back on it. I thought I could ride the 250 and be more aggressive on it, but I have to work too hard shifting up and down, up and down. The 300 I just keep it in third gear. I’m so much more-smooth on it, so I feel back at home.
The GasGas North America East Coast Off-road Team returns to action on June 9 in Greensboro, Georgia for the Cherokee National Enduro.
Ron Commo III made the podium in the Pro2 class and is looking stronger every ride after his leg injury in 2018! Ron rode solid and finished 3rd Pro 2 with 9thoverall for 2 GasGas riders in the top 10!
