Aurora, Minn. (February 8, 2021) – Lincoln Lemieux and Hunter Patenaude each turned in a top five finish over weekend as the AMSOIL Championship snocross series made a bone-chilling stop at a new location in Fargo North Dakota.

Lemieux raced to a fifth place on Friday night, settling into the position on lap two on a fast course that saw limited passing opportunities. Patenaude, who started from the back row of the 14 rider main event, was able to moved forward to finish 10th.

On Saturday, Lemieux launched to the front of the pack at the start and was on track for a second place podium finish before damage to his machine caused him to slow. An impact to the underside of the engine compartment prevented the clutch from fully disengaging and would not allow the sled to exit corners at the proper RPM.  Lemieux was able to stay in the top 10 garnering valuable points.

Hunter Patenaude was did put on another charge on night two, steadily moving through the pack to finish fourth, just four seconds off the final step on the podium.

Nate LaValley, the team’s Sport Lite racer, made his way back to the podium for the second time in as many weekends. LaValley also collected three out of four heat race wins.

In accordance with COVID guidelines, the team was able to take part in school visits with area students at West Fargo and Moorhead High Schools, where we awarded two more Race to the Future scholarships with out partners from the U.S. Air Force.

After a quick exit from the frozen pit area on Saturday night, the team is back at our headquarters in equally frigid Aurora, Minnesota where we have two weeks to prep for another new tour stop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 19-20.
