CJ Greaves wreaked havoc on two of the five Pro divisions at round three of The Off Road Championship series at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota, but it was Mother Nature who took the podium by storm, literally, on Sunday forcing a postponement of round four.
On Saturday, Greaves scored the Pro 4 win over his father Johnny by just tenths of a second, with Keegan Kincaid rounding out the box in third. CJ stayed undefeated in the growing Pro Stock UTV class, making a pass for the lead early in the final and then running away in his Yamaha YXZ.
Appleton, Wisconsin’s Mike Vandenheuvel was the man to beat in Pro 2, bursting out to an early lead and staying there despite multiple restarts after the competition caution.
In Pro Lite, hometown hero Andrew Carlson was making a charge on front-runner Kyle Kleiman when he hooked a rut and did a semi-cartwheel ending his run. Kleiman would score the win with Chad Rayford and Shawn Morris following.
The PRO Mod UTV final saw Rodney Van Eperen hold on for a win over Kyle Chaney. Like the Pro Stock division, this class is rapidly growing in numbers with 25 drivers having to qualify for the 20 starting spots in the final.
