Levi LaVallee on nailing his 100-foot UpsideDowntwn backflip

Absolutely incredible to be out here for Polaris UpsideDowntown. To be from Minnesota, to be a part of the Super Bowl in Minneapolis – what an incredible honor this experience was. I was nervous as could be and I just kept saying to myself, ‘ya know, believe in your practice, believe in your crew, believe in everything you’ve put into this,’ and I went out there and hit that jump! In the first part of the flip, you cannot see what is going on – you are upside down, and I’m saying to myself ‘oh man, I hope I’m going to make it to the landing! Just get to the landing!’ As I came around, I spotted the landing and knew I was going to land this thing perfectly. Riding down that landing was such an incredible feeling. I ran to the top of the ramp, and to see that sea of people cheering with arms pumping was absolutely a dream come true. It was amazing.
