Following President Trump’s extension of social distancing until April 30th along with the severity of the coronavirus in the state of Louisiana, the NEPG along with the Acadiana Dirt Riders have decided that for everyone’s health and well-being that the Cajun Classic National Enduro on April 26th be cancelled.
With many events being rescheduled into limited available dates extending into late fall, which will undoubtedly put a strain on rider’s resources, along with typically high temperatures in Louisiana in the summer months, we thought it would be best to cancel the national event and look forward to returning it to the national schedule in 2021.
The Acadiana Dirt Riders have indicated that they still plan to host a regional enduro sometime in 2020 when the timing is right.
We are still planning on the Cherokee National Enduro in Greensboro, GA on June 7th to take place as scheduled, we will be moving the pre-entry date to May 20th so the Cherokee Enduro Riders will have time to make sure that we are cleared to have the event.
The 2020 Kenda AMA National Enduro Series presented by Moose Racing will now be a 9 event national championship series. Riders contesting for the overall classification will still count all 9 rounds for the championship, the NE Pro2 class riders will drop their lowest score for the best 8 of 9 scores and all other classes will drop their 2 lowest scores for a best 7 of 9 scores for their class championship.
