Despite high temps and rain throughout the week, the Midwest Snocross Series held its first two rounds of the 2021-22 snocross season this past weekend. The series made its way down to Digger Doug’s, a practice facility frequented by some of Wisconsin’s fastest snocross talents over the years.

Though it was the group’s first event since forming over the summer, it was proof that regional racing is alive and well in the Midwest. With many riders in the region looking to get race experience under their belts prior to the kickoff of the national season, the series saw an upwards of 130 entries each day.

The series will now head to Hartford, WI for rounds 3 and 4. A practice will be held on Friday, December 17th while racing takes place on both Saturday and Sunday. For more information on the event, please head to midwestsnocross.com.

Brian Petersen (Lakeland Powersports Racing/Ski-Doo) dominated the Pro Lite and Pro classes by sweeping all of the heat races and finals. He’ll pull double duty this season, competing at all the ISOC national events as well as all the Midwest Snocross Series races.
