Moultonborough, NH (August 29 , 2022) – One Three Motorsports is excited to announce an expanded team line up for the 2022-23 ISOC National Snocross season.
Leading the charge will be two-time defending ISOC Pro Women Champion Malene Cottew. The Norwegian native has been the dominating force in the women division over the past couple of years and looks to continue her winning ways.
“I am really excited to be joining One Three Motorsports,” Cottew said. “It was important for me to stay with Ski-doo and FXR. This is a big move for me. With the support from the team, I think I can continue to grow as a rider. I know I have a target on my back but look forward to defending my championships.”
Representing One Three Motorsports in the Pro Lite class will be rookie Jeremy Beaulieu with backing from long-time supporters Ski-Doo and FXR. The Quebec native enters the season with a renewed drive for success after last year was ended early due to a shoulder injury. In six Sport finals, he earned two podiums. “We look for Jeremy to consistently be a podium contender in Pro Lite.”
Cael Firth will make the move to One Three Motorsports to lead our charge in the Sport class. Cael has been racing for years, but this will be only his second season on the ISOC circuit.
In his first season he earned two podiums and a top-ten finish in the Championship point standings. “We have high expectations for Cael to compete for a championship this season and we really look forward to working with him.”
Rounding out the team’s roster is the dynamic duo of the Kuhn brothers. Hudson Kuhn will make the jump to the junior transition class. Holden Kuhn will be competing in the 200 class aboard his new Ski-doo MXZ 200!
“Having the Kuhn boys in our lineup brings the family atmosphere to our team which is the reason we all got into this sport in the first place,” said team co-owner Scott Calderwood.
After nine years of competing in the Pro class and accumulating 10 wins and over 30 podiums, Team Owner, Lincoln Lemieux will formally retire from competition and transition to a Crew Chief and coaching role.
Last season, Lincoln was severely injured after another competitor landed on him. Many Doctors said he would never ride a snowmobile again – let alone in two short months. He was determined to overcome all odds and end his career on his own terms.
Despite months of not training or riding, he came back for the final Pro race of the year (and his career) – to everyone’s surprise. He earned two top-5 finishes in his qualifying races and backed it up with a hard-fought seventh in the final. “I always wanted to have a long-term career in snocross even after I was done racing,” Lemieux said. “Although I won’t be lining up on the starting line, I will still be putting laps in at our testing facility during the week to keep the adrenaline flowing. I’m looking forward to mentoring our riders while turning wrenches on the Ski-Doo snowmobiles.”
One Three Motorsports will relocate to Hartford, Wisconsin in November to the RK Racing Compound with former racer Ryan Kuhn (and business owner of Town & Country Lawn Service). Ryan will take a step back from racing to be the operations manager for the team and oversee the practice facility.
“We believe in the ISOC series and this is part of our long-term vision,” said General Manager Jake daSilva. “We are positioned well for the long haul in building Championship contenders for years to come. Working along side Lincoln will be Joe Lemiuex, Paul daSilva, Ronnie Rathburn, newcomers to the team Nick
Guggino and Kerry King. Our move to the RK Compound is a huge advantage for our team to have our own practice facility. Ryan Kuhn has the same goal as all of us and that is to be the best that we can be on and off the track.”
