Finley, ND (December 12, 2017) – The ISOC national snocross tour made its first-ever stop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and KC Motorsports/FLY Racing/Polaris riders Jay Lura and Evan Christian met the challenge of thin air and daunting hills head-on, leaving the Teton Valley with two more podium finishes.
Both riders raced to fifth place finishes on Friday with Lura qualifying 1-4 in his Sport class heat races and Christian going 2-2 in the Sport Lite class which he competes in part-time on days when he is not racing in the Junior division for national points.
On Saturday, both riders stepped up their game with Lura dominating his Sport class qualifiers and tying for the top pick on the front row of the main event. In the final Lura and fellow Polaris rider Adam Peterson battled back and fourth with Jay claiming the final step on the podium in third.
Saturday was a busy day for Christian racing in his two Junior classes with very little break in between. There is a very competitive collection of racers in the 14-17 year old categories who get to square off with one another more than any other group. Evan scored finishes of 4-2 and 2-4 in his respective heat races and climbed the box in the third spot in Jr. 14-15, while just missing the podium with a fourth in Jr. 16-17.
The series will now take an extended break over the holidays before resuming action on January 5-6 at one the premier venues on the tour, Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
