The AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour has released their 2021 schedule and like nearly everything since March of 2020, there will be a distinctly different look and feel to the upcoming season.
First and foremost, a delayed start at a location that is not Duluth, Minnesota, will completely change how teams go about prepping for the campaign. Rounds one and two will take place at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minnesota, which means riders will be lining up on a course that they will likely have spent several weeks testing and training on.
From there, it will be a series of two weeks on and one weekend off, journeying to familiar venues in Dubuque, Iowa and Deadwood, South Dakota. The fourth stop sees a return to Fargo, North Dakota, but unlike the past several trips to the Minnkota region, this event will actually take place in Fargo, or West Fargo as it were, at the dirt oval just off of Interstate 94.
Salamanca, New York will retain a familiar slot on the schedule before the series returns to it’s backyard at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. In another turn of events forced by the condensed schedule and venue availability, rounds 13-14, and 15 for the Pro classes, will take place in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in what will now be the penultimate rounds.
The series finale has been relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan wrapping up on March 26-27.
