| Finley, ND (February 8, 2021) – Back-to-back weekends in the Dakotas were just what the doctor ordered to get KC Motorsports racers Evan Daudt and Evan Christian back on track. Rounds seven and eight of the national snocross tour, held in nearby Fargo, North Dakota, marked the first time both riders stepped on the podium in their respective classes on the same night. Daudt scored his first Pro Lite win of the season on Saturday, grabbing the lead in the second corner of the race and then sprinting to a sizable gap. Daudt would have to fend off mounting pressure in the closing laps aboard his FLY Racing/WPS Polaris, but managed the final straight to capture the win. |
| Evan Daudt – “The whole time I had to keep telling myself to breathe, breathe and hit my marks,” said Daudt. That’s what we’ve been talking about with the guys. I just gotta go out there and hit my marks and be smooth and consistent. That’s from the first corner through the whole race. That’s what I was telling myself the whole time.” Christian, who was coming off his best points weekend of the season in Deadwood, and is locked in a heated battle for the championship, opened Saturday’s night show with a third place Sport class podium finish on his Finley Motorsports/Lucas Oil Polaris. Earlier in the weekend, Evan finished fifth in the round seven final and the combined scores propelled him to within one point of the top spot which is now being contested by three riders after competitor Adam Ashline swept both finals and joined the fray. |
| Overall it was the team’s best effort of the season and despite the brutally cold sub-zero temperatures, a huge success for all involved, including many family, friends and sponsors from the surrounding area.The team will now get a much needed weekend off to regroup from the recent 14 day grind and begin prepping for yet another new tour stop as we head to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 19-20. |
