Arrington, VA (May 6, 2018) – FAR Racing Gas Gas North America’s Nick Davis backed up the runner-up finish he claimed at last month’s Red Fox Enduro in Indiana with an equally impressive second place finish in the NE Pro 2 class at this weekend’s Dragon’s National Enduro – round four of the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series in Arrington, Virginia. Riding his 2018 GasGas XC250, Davis struggled a bit in the first two tests, which were slippery due to a hard downpour that soaked the area just after the riders took to the course in the morning. However, Davis picked up the pace starting with test three and managed to dig himself out of the hole he had dug in the first two tests to finish an impressive second.

In the NE Pro class, Andrew DeLong took a big step towards returning to the form what won him the 2014 National Enduro title with a solid 10th overall finish. Riding his GasGas XC300, DeLong turned times that were much closer to the leaders than he has so far this year. However, with the increased speed came mistakes, something the Pennsylvania rider is determined to work on.

Nick Davis: The first two tests for me were a struggle, I don’t know why. I’m usually a good mud rider but I was way off the pace. We changed tires before the third test and tweaked some suspension settings and that made a big difference. I was playing catch-up the rest of the day but I managed to work my way into second, which I’m thrilled with since this is my first year with the series. I have the speed; I just don’t have the experience with this format these guys have.

Andrew DeLong: Today was an improvement but I still had too many mistakes. I’m going faster than I’ve been riding, but when you start picking up the pace you start making little mistakes and that’s where I’m at now. My times are closer to the leaders not, and it’s coming but it’s just a work in progress.

The FAR Racing Gas Gas North America team returns to action on May 13 for the X-Factor Whitetails GNCC in Peru, Indiana, round six of the Grand National Cross Country Series.
