Evan Christian put in a determined ride aboard his FLY Racing/Finley Motors Polaris to finish second in the Sport class final at round 10 of the ISOC national snocross tour in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In what was hands down one of the most entertaining main events of the season, Christian battled from a seventh place start into a podium position with three laps remaining. A prolonged yellow flag situation on the front straight bunched up the field and Evan was able to make a pass into second place ahead of championship rival Kenny Mandryk. On the final lap, Mandryk attempted to return the favor making a hard charge into Christian’s rear bumper, but he was able to close the door and hang on to the runner-up spot.
Christian finished ninth in Friday’s final and remains second in the title chase, just two points out.
We had some ups and downs this weekend but in the end I figured out what I needed to do before that last final and pulled it all together.

Pro Lite racer Evan Daudt had another great weekend of qualifying, finishing in the top three in all four of his heat races. On Friday, Evan dropped to eighth in the start of the final and then raced his way back to a sixth place overall, just one second out of the top five.
Daudt was 11th on Saturday but in the top 10 overall, despite missing a round due to injury early in the season.
Rounds 11 & 12 will see a return visit to ERX Motor Park in Minnesota on March 5-6. With temperatures finally heading in a favorable direction, the team will take advantage of the upcoming open weekend to test and prepare for what is sure to be a pivotal event heading into the home stretch.
