Aurora, Minn. (August 14, 2018) – Over twenty thousand fans were on hand for rounds five and six of the Midwest Short Course League in Bark River, Michigan. Saturday qualifying started out terrible for drivber Elliot Burns when a rock from the track lodged in the rear wheel and broke the axle. Burns was unable to complete a lap, putting him in #22 starting position at the back of the pack.
Elliott showed what he was made of as he charged through the field and finished in fourth position just behind the leaders. On Sunday qualifying went better as he qualified in the top five. Elliott and four other drivers distanced themselves from the pack and when the dust settled Elliot finished on the podium in third place.
Burns is now sitting second in the Pro Mod UTV class heading into the World Championships in Crandon, Wisconsin on Labor Day weekend. The team has shown what it can do as this is the first full season in Pro short course off-road racing and we have only finished outside the top four once when we bent an A-arm and finished seventh.
