Round 1 & 2 of the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association season saw the return to The Yard in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for the CAN-AM International Snowcross Races. With tons of snow received right before our event our team was able to pull off a great weekend of racing action! Despite -20*C conditions our racers and staff were excited to kick the National season off with a bang and directly under the bridge to the USA was a unique place to do it.
During Saturday’s Snow Bike final, it was #53 Yannick Boucher (Rockstar Energy Bailey Motorsports, Yeti) from Hearst, ON taking the win with Taylor Ciampichini (Mike Jackson GM, Timbersled) from Wasaga Beach, ON taking 2nd. #81 Blake Hazen from Bay City, MI placed 3rd.
In the Sport 600 2 class #771 Ryan Wagner (Ski-Doo) from Powassan, ON took the win followed by #431 Currie Giesler (Ski-Doo) from Powassan, ON in 2nd and #417 Skylar Jenkerson (Arctic Cat) from Belleville, ON in 3rd.
In the Pro Lite class #25 Tyler Oomen (Arctic Cat) from Hart, MI took home the win in Saturday’s final. #140 Cael Firth (Arctic Cat) from Innisfil, ON, took 2nd followed by #589 Jack Polito (Polito Ford, Ski-Doo) from Lindsay, ON in 3rd.
The Pro final saw #188 Scott Vandeborne (London Recreational Racing, Ski-Doo) from Denfield,ON take the win with #729 Ryan Hunt (Rockstar Energy Bailey Motorsports, Ski-Doo) from Toronto,ON taking 2nd. #433 Cale Callan (Monster Energy, Huber Motorsport, Polaris) from Phelpston,ON took 3rd.

In the Sport 600 2 class it was #712 Phillip Norris (Country Corner Arctic Cat) from Grand Bend, ON who took the win. #111 Nathan Mailloux (Ski-Doo) from Ste.Sophie, QC placed 2nd followed by #175 Patrick Fenton (Polaris) from Paisley, ON in 3rd.
In the Pro Lite class #399 Taylor Lightfoot (Country Corner Arctic Cat) from Exeter, ON took the win in the final. #589 Jack Polito (Polito Ford, Ski-Doo) from Lindsay, ON placed 2nd and #140 Cael Firth (Arctic Cat) from Innisfil, ON took 3rd.
On the second day of racing #115 Dave Joanis (Huber Motorsport, Polaris) from Cochrane, ON took home the checkered flag after taking the lead early on. #117 Isaac St.Onge (Bailey Motorsports, Ski-Doo) from Barrie, ON was a close 2nd followed by #335 Taylor McCoy (Bailey Motorsports, Ski-Doo) in 3rd.
Rounds 3 and 4, originally scheduled for January 26th and 27th at Georgian Downs in Innisfil, ON, has been rescheduled for February 23-24. Saturday will feature the FXR Top Gun Shootout and Sunday is the Royal Distributing Cup.
