Fosston, MN (September 8, 2022) – Carver Performance Inc is excited to announce that they will be forming a snowmobile race team for the 2023 COR Powersports Cross Country race season. Carver Performance Racing’s team line up will be Nick Swenson competing in the Semi Pro classes, Keagen Houser in the Sport classes, and Mike Carver in the Masters 40+ and Masters 50+ classes. After 41 years in the snowmobile race industry, Mike Carver wants to pass on his knowledge of racing and create a winning team. It is a HUGE bonus that Nick and Keagen have an enormous amount of talent, work ethic, and love racing as much as Mike.
Nick Swenson hails from Minnetonka, MN. He started racing on the national level in motorcycle racing at the age of 12. Some of the highlights from his career are: 2021 Team USA International Six Days Enduro Racer – Italy – 15th of 500+ racers, 2022 Border Battle XC Big Snow Michigan Overall Pro Winner, 2018 Team GasGas Factory National Enduro Racer, 2016 Overall Minnesota Enduro Champion, 5th place AA Expert 2017 National Enduro Championship. Nick’s father and grandfather were snowmobile racers, which prompted him to try a race last year in the COR Powersports series. With a 4th place finish from that race, he has made the decision to carry his already successful racing career motorcycle enduro racing into cross country snowmobile racing.
Keagen Houser is from Grand Forks, ND and he started racing at age 5. He has worked hard and steadily moved up in classes. Keagen has been on Mike’s radar for a couple years, but then Keagen took the time to ask Mike for specific help. Keagen’s ability to communicate, listen, and execute demonstrated to us that Keagen is a future champion! Keagen earned 1st place in the 2021/2022 COR Powersports Expert 600 Limited Class and 2nd place in the Junior 14-17 Class.
Mike Carver is the owner of Carver Performance Inc in Fosston, MN. Mike started racing in 1981 and that lead to a career in the powersports industry and a long history of racing. Mike’s on track highlights began by winning 1st place in the Open Independent Heartland Racing Association 1984 Season. Last year Mike was the 1st place Master 40+ season winner for COR Powersports and the 1st place Master 50+ season winner. Off the track, Mike has done shock set ups for winning racers in the following race series: Soo I-500, USXC/COR Cross Country, I-500, Iron Dog, and WPSA/ISOC Snocross.
Carver Performance Racing believes we have set up a winning race team. “We are excited to have established a race team with a bright future ahead of them. We have positioned ourselves to create a team that will succeed this year and have years of advancement. When choosing racers for our team we looked at performance on the track, sportsmanship, and off-track success as well.” Said team owner Mike Carver.
