BOSS Racing has signed 2015 ISOC Pro Lite Snocross National Champion Ryan Springer to ride the Jimmy John’s/Lucas Oil/FXR/Ski-Doo in the Pro Open class for the 2017-18 season.
Springer, a two year veteran of the elite Pro Open class had a breakout year in 2017 scoring his first podium finish and several top five finishes throughout the season.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Jimmy John’s team,” said Springer. We have some really great things coming and I’m expecting to have great results this year. I’ve worked with Jayme for a while now and we have a great relationship, he knows my strengths and weaknesses and how to address them. Switching to a new team, a new brand with Ski-Doo and a new atmosphere will be good. It’s gonna be different but I have no worries as team owner Garry Querel is a great guy who will do what it takes to give us the opportunity to win!”
Joining Springer on the team is veteran crew chief Jayme Cheney. Cheney was with the team through the 2015 season when it was based out of Fargo, North Dakota. Both Springer and Cheney will work out of the team’s current headquarters in Princeton, Minnesota, alongside 2017 ISOC Pro Lite Champions Aki Pihlaja.
