The Border Battle XC series is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Hunter Houle Memorial Foundation to raise funds for the 501 (c) (3) non-profit at the opening round Frostbuster Grand Prix at ERX Motor Park on April 29.
Hunter Houle was an up and coming cross-country snowmobile racer who lost his life in a practice accident in January of 2017 while preparing for the USXC season opener on Pine Lake in northern Minnesota. The Hunter Houle Memorial Foundation is dedicated to helping those in need, the advancement of education, and engaging in other charitable purposes. The Foundation arose out of Hunter Houle’s true love of racing and strong passion for helping others. Combining these passions, the Foundation strives to benefit the community and those in need.
Hunter’s Arctic Cat teammate and multi-time cross-country snow Champion Zach Herfindahl, is one of nearly 30 snowmobile racers who will be participating in the Frostbuster and we will be donating one dollar from all Frostbuster entries to the foundation.
On Saturday April 28, the day before the Frostbuster, the Houle family will be hosting the second annual Hunter Houle Memorial kart race at MB2 Raceway, 45 North Stacks Dr, Fridley, Minnesota. All proceeds from the event go to the foundation and anyone interested in participating is encouraged to enter.
