Hoosier-OffRoad Border Battle XC presented by Klim is pleased to announce that Timbersled, the number one brand in snow bike conversion kits, is continuing their support of the series as the grand prize sponsor of the new Timbersled Triple Crown.
The Timbersled Triple Crown will consist of three races – Round 1 in Elk River, Minnesota, Round 3 in Byron, Illinois and the series finale in Indianola, Iowa. To qualify for the grand prize, racers will have to compete in each of those events with the winner, chosen by random drawing, receiving a 2019 Timbersled 120 SX valued at $6,699. Any racer who works at one of the three triple crown events in an official capacity for the BBXC, local club or promoter will still be eligible for the grand prize by competing in the other two races.
“Timbersled played a key role in getting our series off the ground in 2018,” said race director Gary Walton. We have had a long-standing relationship with Timbersled’s parent company Polaris, and being able to help expose their premium snow bike line to the off-road community was a big win for both parties and our racers.”
In 2018 BBXC awarded a Timbersled kit to overall high point Champion Nathan Ferderer. In addition, the series was able get behind the snow bike racing efforts of Premier and Junior C class Champion Troy Horbaty, who qualified for, and participated in, SnowBike Cross at the 2019 Winter X Games on a Timbersled.
