Congratulations to Border Battle XC Junior and Premier class champ Troy Horbaty on qualifying for the SnowBikeCross event at the 2019 Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. The 13 year-old from Winnipeg was super impressive on his dirt bike all summer and really turned some heads with his performance at the X Games Snow Bike qualifier at ERX Motor Park last weekend.

Horbaty made both finals at The Duel, and despite having clutch issues throughout the day, performed remarkably well against seasoned snow bike and X Games pros. Troy nearly punched his ticket based on his finish in the second final and was awarded with an at-large invite on Tuesday.
The Horbaty family purchased a Timbersled kit after competing in the Border Battle series last summer and then really dedicated themselves to trying to qualify for the X Games, traveling to test tracks in Aurora, Grand Rapids and Elk River, Minnesota throughout November and early December.
