286 Sno Series

Over 150 amateur racers representing 580 total entries signed in for the opening round of the 286 Sno Series over the weekend as the Youth-based circuit cut the first competitive laps of the season at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo.
A number of racers traded wins in the three Junior age divisions, with Lawrence Eeg of Greenbush, Minnesota sweeping the two days of racing in the 14-17 bracket.
Owen Eidsness of Brocket, North Dakota was another big winner on the weekend sweeping both days in the Improved Stock 120 and Stock 120 finals.
The 11-13 Juniors had the biggest field of entries with 23 different racers competing during the weekend. While teams from Minnesota and North Dakota have made up the bulk of the fields leading into this season, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin were also represented at the opening round signaling a bright future for the series and snocross.
